In our opening concert this season, after a rousing start from Brahms, we welcome this year's winner of the Mrs Sunderland Competition in Ruth Gipps' romantically influenced Horn Concerto.
Bizet's ever popular Symphony in C, written in a few weeks when he was seventeen, brings a lively conclusion to our afternoon's music making.
